Our Mission
As In-home Healthcare Providers
Aging in place is affordable. My clients frequently find that it costs less to remain at home and work with me than it would cost them to move to an assisted living facility. Feel free to call me if you’d like to discuss your budget for homecare.
There are many things you can do to make it easier to live in your home for the long term. If you are planning to age in place, you might wish to consider assessing your home’s safety levels and doing what you can to make your home safer and easier to navigate.
As you can see, homecare eliminates many of the most common obstacles seniors face while attempting to age in place. Once these barriers are removed, it becomes much easier for them to remain comfortably at home. So in many cases, a decline in mobility or memory does not automatically necessitate a move to a nursing home or assisted living facility.
Services
- I can provide help with everyday homecare tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, changing linens, making beds, taking the trash out, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, sanitizing, mopping, dish washing and organizing.
- Do you or your loved ones require help with preparing grocery lists, clipping coupons or making room in the freezer for new groceries? These tasks are complimentary on a caregiver’s to do list.
- I am also able to help with monitoring special dietary needs and implementing relevant meal plans.
- I’m delighted to provide assistance with grooming, toileting and personal care. Do you or your loved ones require help with brushing teeth, combing hair, getting dressed, clipping toenails, taking a shower or using the bathroom? If so, I’ve got your back.
- Are you or your loved ones taking medication because a doctor has prescribed it? I will help by providing timely reminders every time a dose is required.
- Do you or your loved ones have pets that need feeding, walking, litter changes or medication? These are crucial tasks I gladly will help with.
- I can provide either temporary or long-term care – whichever your unique situation requires. Many of my clients have family members who regularly provide homecare to them. However, even beloved family members occasionally need time off from caretaking duties. I’m happy to provide temporary respite for regular caregivers who need a vacation.
- Happily provide assistance with opening or answering mail and keeping correspondence organized.
- In cases where a client is experiencing difficulty walking, the recommendation is to get a walker. However, I am available to provide stand-by assistance with moving about when it is needed.
- My main concern is about providing calming reassurance and companionship when it is warranted.
- Games, tactile stimulation or otherwise provide memory stimulation if that is appropriate. Often engaging the client in word searches, crossword puzzles and other fun games help stimulate their minds. Beyond that, it’s genuinely meaningful and compassionate to converse with a client and their interests while keeping a conversation going.
